She was one of the first PhD students to study at the NCNSM, and has now graduated as the first female to earn a PhD degree from the Department of Physics and Engineering at Zululand. Not only that, she is also the youngest person to earn PhD from the same department, and the first from her family to earn a doctoral degree.
