The Centre celebrated its ten year anniversary with a celebration on 27 November 2017 at the CSIR. The morning celebrations included a tour of facilities by guests with breakfast, where all projects displayed the work that they are doing and some of the outputs of that work. This was followed up by a programme hosted at the CSIR International Convention Centre. The CSIR CEO, Dr Thulani Dlamini, commended the Centre on its good work, while current and past students and staff related their experiences at the Centre. Between the talks, an interactive pole was held with the audience members to reflect their opinions of the impact and future of nanotechnology locally and internationally. The day was rounded off by a panel discussion with experts from the field on the way forward for nanotechnology.
